Kate Poore completed the GDS Diploma Course in Garden Design in 2006 has since been named 'Student of the Year' by the Society of Garden Designers (SGD). She won the title - in joint first place - in a competition which attracted dozens of entries from recently qualified trainees from 14 colleges and universities around the UK. Kate runs her own very successful design practice - www.katepooregardendesign.com.
After graduating from Garden Design School in 2005, Andrew Stevenson set up and still runs the garden design department at Chessington garden centre, giving customers lots of support, from informal advice to full project management. Andrew also went on to co-design a fantastic award-winning show garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2008. The garden entitled “Mist-Placed”, won a silver flora medal in the ‘courtyard’ category.
Maureen Lock graduated from Garden Design School in 2004 and is pleased to report that she has never been without work since gaining her Diploma! She now runs her own practice, www.designergardens.biz completing projects of all shapes and sizes, from a small courtyard to a two acre plot to a gloriously colourful and highly scented garden, producing wonderful cut flowers for the church.
