Having spent many years building and planting both private gardens and commercial projects, Robin Templar Williams studied at the College of Garden Design in 1985-6.
He has received numerous accolades for his work - including several Gold Medals at the Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower Shows, London - and has three times received the coveted Principal Award from the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI). He has, on several occasions, been a show-garden judge for the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and continues as a judge for the APLD and BALI National Awards.
Robin has created many gardens for private clients throughout Europe, the USA and South East Asia.
Additionally to his busy design practice Robin has for many years taught the principles and practice of garden design. He also runs popular sessions for the RHS at Wisley. He hosts design-based workshops for the UK's Society of Garden Designers (SGD) and the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD) in the USA.
Robin is a former Vice Chairman and Fellow of the UK's Society of Garden Designers (SGD) and is a past board member of the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI). He has been a certified member of the USA's Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD) for many years and from January 2008 to August 2009 also assumed the position of board director for that organisation.
