Robin is recognised as one of the industry’s most accomplished garden and landscape designers, with over 28 years’ in the business. During that time, he has established an international reputation for creating award-winning private and public gardens in the UK, mainland Europe, the USA and South East Asia. Robin grew up with landscaping and garden design, before formally training at the College of Garden Design in 1985.

As well as his commercial work, Robin has created many RHS show gardens, notching up an impressive seven medals at RHS Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower Shows, including five RHS Gold medals, along with many other industry awards including three-time winner of the coveted Principal Award from British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI). On the flip-side, he has also been a show-garden judge for the Royal Horticultural Society, and continues to serve as a judge for the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD) and BALI National Awards.

He plays an active role within the industry and is a current Fellow and past Board Director of the Society of Garden Designers (SGD), a Registered Member and past Board Director of the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI). In the US, he is a Certified Member and past Board Director of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD) USA.

For many years, Robin has been instrumental in garden design education, having both created and taught garden design courses and workshops at many of the UK’s well-known garden design and horticultural organisations, including: RHS Wisley, the SGD, BALI and APLD USA. He co-founded Garden Design School in 2001. His field of expertise is in concept and spatial design, coupled with hard landscape design and detailing.
